Isaiah 43:18: Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

In this New Year God requires that we do not allow the memories of past/old disappointments, failures and negative experiences to weigh us down. All we need from the past is correction of its mistakes to prevent it from becoming a clog in our wheel of progress.

Cheer up! Forget the past unpleasant experiences, praise God for the present miracle of being alive and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Today our reading will be taken from the book of Matthew 7 verse 7.... i know that by the end of today's reading we will all be inspired to always call home to our father in heaven for whatever you may ever need in life.

     REMEMBER : So many a time we need something, but many do not know where to ask, who to ask or even how... but this inspiring verse has thrown light on that problem... my dear people of God whenever you are in want and you don't know what to do or who to turn to for help... fall on your knees, look up to the heavens and ask your Heavenly father, He will answer you... He does not want any of us to ever lack that is why He has shown us the way in today's reading... reflect!!!!!

Challenge: Know when to talk and when to be mum.

Ehesians 4:25 - Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour, for we are members one of another.

Lying is becoming a "common/negligible/little" sin but the Lord is against it, hence his call that we put away lies. Tell the truth always, no matter the consequence.

No Matter how fast a lie spreads, the truth soon catches up and overtakes it.

    REMEMBER:   FAITH is a very salient part of our christian life... without faith we as humans cannot serve God.... and in this verse we see how we as children of God can build up this much needed faith to please our Father.... "from hearing" means listening to the word of God wherever and whenever it is been evangelized so that our spirit will be buttressed and strengthened in the lord..... furthermore the "word of God" means studying the word of God which is the most important aspect, we must always study the word of God in season and out of season so that we will be prepared at all times to defend or faith in Christ Jesus...... reflect

As humans we must realize that God is the author and finisher of the world and all that is there in. We are just custodians of ALL and ANYTHING we now posses but God is interested in our heart first and hence the call comes in the book of Psalms "My son, give me thine heart". If you are not sure of anything, please my dear friend be sure you are a child of God, and be double sure that when time elapses and you slide into eternity, you shall live with the God that created heaven and earth.
