Galatians 6:7: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Lesson: Can you just imagine a farmer that sows maize seeds and is hoping to reap groundnuts? That’s just impossible.
Challenge: If you do good to others, you’ll get the same and vice versa.

Saturday, 07 – 11 – 2009

Hosea 10:12: Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Lesson: There is need for a righteous living this is because every good act is a good seed sown.
Challenge: You can begin ‘breaking your fallow grounds today’. Sow that seed of righteous deeds and when it germinates you will be glad you sowed.

Sunday, 08 – 11 – 2009

Galatians 6:8: For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Lesson: Minding the things of the flesh and trying to please oneself only, will result to a waste of life on the last day.
Challenge: Sow to the Spirit because He shall never die but face judgment either to eternal life or condemnation.

Psalms 91:1 - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Lesson: All those who live a life of communion with God are constantly safe under his protection
Challenge: Dwelling in the secret place of the most High is the character of a true believer.

Psalms 91:2 - I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Lesson:  If Jehovah be our God, our refuge, and our fortress, what can we desire which we may not be sure to find in him?
Challenge: Do you trust in God? Is He your refuge?

Psalms 91:3: Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Lesson: All believers shall be kept from those mischiefs which they are in imminent danger of, and which would be fatal to them
Challenge: This is  for sure as it says ‘Surely’ – assuredly, confidently. He will surely deliver you from the snare.

Psalms 91:4: He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Lesson: God protects believers with the greatest tenderness and affection, alluding to the hen gathering her chickens under wings,
Challenge: By natural instinct the hen not only protects the chicks, but calls them under that protection when she sees them in danger, keeps them safe, cherishes them and keeps them warm.

Psalms 91:5: Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Lesson: For real there are terrors by night and arrows by day and are mostly unseen.
Challenge: As you move about during the day, do not fear; as you retire to your chambers and beds just sleep with your eyes closed and don’t be afraid.

Lesson: Pestilence that walks in darkness like the killing of the Egyptian firstborns and destruction that wastes at noonday such that befell David on the day he numbered Israel shall not come nigh us .
Challenge: Don’t be afraid even in the midst of great dangers and threats of calamities, pestilences and destruction.

Psalms 91:7: A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Lesson: Those that preserve their purity in times of general corruption may trust God with their safety in times of general desolation.
Challenge: Though the fall of the calamities at right or left may even frighten you but never worry ‘cos it shall not come closer than expected.

Lesson: Just like the Israelites saw the destruction of the Egyptians, so shall you witness the destruction of your enemies
Challenge: We do not need to pray for the destruction of our enemies, God knows how best and when best to do it.

Psalms 91:9 - Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
Psalms 91:10 - There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling..
Lesson:  because… signifies the reason why evil cannot befall a man who makes the Lord his refuge
Challenge: ‘there shall no evil befall thee’ though what seems to be evil may come  yet there shall be no real evil in it, for it shall come, not for thy hurt, but for thy good just as gold is tried by fire and it comes out shining.
