We need detailed coverage of the events. Sad that the SUG is being inaugurated when the students are at home. Wondering who will cheer them up.

I totally agree! This is where we need to make the difference as people that are involved in campus politics and so on. The change should start from our universities. We shouldn't keep quiet when we see things going wrong otherwise we may choose to be quiet for the rest of our lives.

In my opinion I think thats the only thing that can clean up our system. I also want to use this medium to call all well meaning Nigerians to stand up and seek elective positions. That way we would go pass this mediocrity.

M.O.P Reporting for GMs Press Team

The Dean of Student Affairs  admits that the Inauguration would have been better while students are on campus but pleaded to be pardoned as his reasn was to give the new Governemnt enough time to articultfae, plan and revitalise the almost-dead union...

Reacting to the development, the SUG President, RT Hon Peter-Andy frowned at the development citing that those who voted them into office would have loved to witness the inauguration. 'If you fought to aquire power, you will love to see it empowered, i believe thats the wish of the Nigeriian Students on this' he said.

On same note, the Information Officer, Rt Hon Darlington reiterated the wish of the new SUG team to have the students around but couldn't do otherwise since the main reason is to have adequate time to serve and represent them properly. In his words, 'we all wished to have students here, we tried but had to look at the reason and really we should get started to properly represent and serve the nigerian students.' He went ahead to promise a future with informed lions and lionesses.
