Phronesis, try looking for another open source script like vBulletin or phpBB. They are quite better than S.M.F for me.
Consider people that use their mobile's.

So, guys, you could let me know if you have any feedback about the forum. For instance, are you having any problems using the forum on your Mobile Phones or other devices? Are there things that you think are missing and should be included? Are there boards that should be removed?

Any feedback that would help improve the forum and make it better for the community is welcome.
