The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Teachers met in Abuja on Tuesday 24/06 over the failure of the Federal Government to implement the Teachers Salary Scale (TSS) and resolved to commence a nationwide strike on July 1 2008 should the Federal Executive Council meeting due to hold in Abuja on Wednesday 27/06 fail to direct that a circular on the implementation of the TSS be issued.

If this happens, all teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools throughout the country will embark on a nationwide indefinite strike with effect from Tuesday, July 1, 2008.

Do you think the Teachers should go on strike or what should be the way forward?
