There are speculations that NUGA-UNN scheduled to start March 23 may be shifted to April. Most of the facilites to be used for the competition although world class and second to non compared to what previous host presented is far from completion. Even the hostel renovation have less than 20% of the renovation work done. It seems that the school is carring many things at the same time yet they start late.

Information with me presently suggest that the long awaited UNN NUGA GAMES may still start on the scheduled 13th March contrary to the rumour that the game may be shifted. l met a LOC member yesterday(17th March) who told me with assurance that the game will still kick off as scheduled . When l asked how possible it will be with the far from completion facilites he replied, DO YOU WAIT TO FINISH YOUR HOUSE BEFORE PACKING IN?
Am waiting to hear from VCs lips this week as he host his last convocation. keep in touch

Left to me I'll say that UNN is generally suffering Logistics Problems and procrastination.Why cant they plan well before executing any function.I wont be suprised if NUGA is postponed to 2010 LOL.This is also the Major Problem of Our beloved Country Nigeria, We cant plan things effectively.

There was a relay today started by the VC . The infrastructures in place does not show anything close to the university hosting NUGA. The stadium is still under heavy construction, the hockey pitch, Long tennis court and everything is still under construction. 25th Feb. is the proposed kick off. Personally, I dont know how possible this would be.

FINALLY NUGA STARTS THIS WEEK
The long awaited NUGA UNN has started this week as most Universities and official are still arriving.Information reaching us suggests that 23-27th of Feb is for arrival and accreditation while the opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday 28th Feb.
Most facilities to be used for the games are below 60% completion most painful is the main bowl of Akani Ibiam Stadium that is to host the opening ceremony which grasses was planted two weeks ago some last week.
