It's a free world, you are entitled to your own opinion. So, tell us, who do you admire most - Nelson Mandela, Baba Segey, IBB, Abacha or Fela?

Also, tell us why you admire who you admire and why you don't admire the rest.

Hmnnn...tough question  Grin I think i personally admire all of them for there contributions in their own various ways. The important thing now is that we need a change and the change has to come from the young Nigerians. Mandela did so well in his country that he changed and saved his Nation. Uncle Segey did well in his own well and fumbled in other ways. So, did the other folks. But more importantly, the young ones should learn from the mistakes on these old guys and do things differently.

Does anyone agree or disagree with me?

Hm...Odi egwu.

I admire them all:

With Baba Segey...anything can happen most especially constant hike in price of petroleum products.

With IBB...increase in cost of living and stashing of Naija money into foreign banks will recommence.

With Fela...smoke will be a compulsary thing and most especially bad leaders will be exposed.

With Abacha...Naija will be treated with respect by International Communities and no one will ever name Naija as the most corrupt nation in the world.

With Nelson Mandela...transpearency will be promoted and there will determination in human activism.

But With NAIJA....we will all survive...

Nelson Mandela- he tried in his own capacity, but i didn't feel his impact 4rm dis part of d world.
Obasanjo- a vry BIG WOW! He really messed dis country up, during his reign, he hiked prices of petroleum products constantly( cos he was d president & petroleum minister 2gether), d value of our naira depreciated, cost if living increased, naija became 2nd most corrupt country, etc. I cud keep on goin.
IBB- i didnt really feel his impact cos i waz still feeding from my parents during his rule..but i think it waz during his period Dele Giwa died, right?
Abacha- though a dictator, who had no respect 4 our nation(imagine using our presidential jet 2 import prostitute). But during his rule, d dollar exchange rate waz stable, foreign investors couldn't & didn't exploit us etc.. He is my pick on the list, i prefer his rule 2 d others.
Fela- he was a social activist and political critic which to me is good, but if one like him waz made a ruler of our country, d smoking of indian hemp would become a legal thing.

Maybe, we can compare and contrast in terms of what did each of them do well and what did they do bad. Also, what should they have done better that young people like us could learn from.

These men all possess admirable qualities;

the ideal nigerian president needs all their positives... while their wrongs are least needed in naija..
