On Tuesday, 20th January 2009, history was made! History was re-written, not just in America, but in the world over. President Barack Obama was sworn-in as the first black President of the United States of America.

This is no longer news. But I want to hear from you. What lessons have you learnt from Obama's victory and achievements? What personal lesson have you learnt as a young man? Remember, this race started even before Martin Lurther King Jnr. Let's hear your view.

You can also watch the inaugural speech on youtube below:

This is one of the best speeches I've ever listened to.

One inspiring thing I've learnt from Obama's story is that I can be whatever I want to be. There only limit I have in life is my dream and thoughts. If I dream big and work towards the dream, I'll have what I dreamt of.

True, the scripture says that there's therefore no more Jews nor Gentiles. So, being a black man  cannot limit you, it's all in the mind. You can be what you want to be - the secret lies in the inside of you.

@ all, its like y'all dudes are sleepin on bike, well y'all beta wake up..... Let me remind u, in USA; shit happens while in 9ja bullshit is the order of the day. If electing a black president is whats gud 4 them, that shud be there own headace not ours. Afterall Late Abacha wasn't a nigerian, but he ruled us and during his rule, the dollar was stable, not much lootin took place then(if u even tot of lootin frm ur office, u wud be thrown overboard sharpely) know ye that ev'ry thing hath got thine reason 4 happening.
