True talk. A man who thinks he is bold, confidence and doing what's right doesn't need a masked face.

If they're not afraid and are indeed what they claim to be, let them show their face in the open. I call them Scoundrels in our uniform. They usually end up regretting all the wasted years. May God have mercy on their souls. A cult member is not just a vagabond but a WEAKLING!

Guys,
We should not actuall mistake confraternities and secret cults. Confrats are  brotherhoods that have a united purpose and their membership are mostly made public. Secret cults are almost the same but their members are not known. Examples of Confrats in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka are : Legend Elite Class UNN, Alpha UNN, Sigma etc.
While the Secret cults we can tell e.g ....

so @poster, which one are we meant to discuss?

Most members of secret cults graduate to confraternities and vice versa. Either which way, if you ask me, I'll say let there be no confraternity or secret cult.

I really think we should go past the meta-theories or should I say assumption that is holding our country down. we know there are two sides to everything under the sun. lets look at he issue of Fraternity and confrats. like intellectuals.

Confraternity...what do i think?

Its an act of brotherhood, its concept frm the thought to be united, develop and rise collectively...its a weapon like witch-craft which can be used for a greater result....Positive or Negative depends on the application..

Personally...Its reformation should be more an issue intead of ......

Still...we are encouraged to avoid its membership now dat it is stil very corrupt....Confraternity of Campus...

To be honest, I haven't heard anything about Confraternity in UK. I'm aware that groups like that exist, but, they do mailny to promote social works of their particular believe. I think in Nigeria, it's a bit different. I'm not sure what the original intentions of these groups are, but, they're now used more for hit and hide kind of thing - now more like a secret cult than a confraternity. That's my 2cents.

well there are confrats in UK. I know Alpha was foundered in the US but is almost everywhere in the world. Yea, basically chivalry is the watchword. The fact is that we are confusing Confrats with Secret society`s. They are diff.

i guess we are all saying same thing...whether confrat, confra or secret society, whether they produce harm or social helps, all roost in the fact...The application.

After all the founders of those in Naija...Wole Soyinka and co...have openly said their intentions.

Confrat issue is just like any other sector in Naija that requires reformation...
