I'm really confused really with what i've been hearing, so if you don't buy the supplementary form you don't have any chance at admission if your name is not in the primary list, someone should please clear this up for me because no matter what i'm not buying the supplementary form. thanks

Ur situation is conditional. It depends on ur average score & d course u applied 4. Use ur medulla 2 access ur chances of being admitted in d subsequent badges. If appear 2 be out of luck, i advice u 2 go 4 supplementry.

You teenagers never cease to baffle me.
INASMUCH as you are entitled to your opinion, it doesn't follow when you talk before thinking.

Although JANE's post above sounds pessimistic but did you in anyway check the circumstances in which she may have posted it.
DID it at all occur to you that she maybe didn't sit for any University Aptitude test, maybe due to inability to meet up with  cut-off mark.
OR probably sat for one, with dismal outcome?
She must have considered a lot of things before concluding as she did above.
Now if any of the above is applicable to her, I wonder what you would have had her say.

Please Jane debunk that notion. It is fallacious and erroneous.
I'm coming...

Dear Jane,
Your case is indeed a compelling one.
You didn't highlight the circumstances that made you term the situation hopeless.
All I can tell you is not to have a defeatist approach towards it.
Just be unflinching in your faith.
I won't deny the fact that there is a kind of erroneous perception people have about poly graduates, but this perception is mostly harboured by the illiterate ones among them.
There is also a kind of discrepancy or do I say discrimination between them and varsity graduates during job seeking.
I wouldn't want to bore you with counsels but let me repeat, and this time unequivocally, that going to a polytechnic doesn't mean that one is dull, unintelligent or less brilliant. Neither does it make or mean that one  is a dunce.
Having said that,

A lot of successful people are products of polytechnic.
With focus, vision and hard work the sky will be your limit.
I tell you that when you get to many polytechnics, you will see people that will give you a run for your money. Their intelligence will dazzle and leave you wondering why they are not studying at the word's prestigeous varsities.
FORT captured this clearly in a piece of advice he gave to a forumite here  sometime ago.

The piece of advice though was written for another person, I think you may find it useful.
So JANE, do me a favour by reading it in the link at the bottom, probably the whole page. Okay?
And please after reading them, I want you to make a firm decision.
AND note that ''your age and other things'' should also be considered in deciding whether or not you will be going for this poly.
Furthermore, if at all you must go, it will be on a mission :
*either to just be there and write another JAMB.
*or to snatch your OND and re-apply through Direct Entry and JAMB at the same time.
This is imperative considering the fact that life has a lot of vicissitudes and can sometimes be unpredictable.
I met a guy at Onitsha who confinded in me that he has been sitting for JAMB since 2007. Two of those JAMBs were seized. The worst of it all is that he still recorded a woeful performance this year. Five years gone, and he is still at home doing nothing and may have to write another JAMB.
He said that if he had known he would have enrolled in a poly, at least by now he must have gotten his OND  or HND,and also apply through DE, with better chances.

Click here to read the advice:

The story in the link below can also bear witness to the fact that poly graduates are not dull or less intelligent.
Just click here:

It is well. Cheer up and tak kia!
My best wishes...

that is ur post UTME score calculated in percentage. Jst divide ur post UTME(written on ur result sheet) with 4, you'll arrive at dat same 48.

Good morning, pals. I've paid the acceptance fee. I had to travel down all the way from Umuahia to Nsukka, as it wasn't in any zenith banks in umuahia nor in enugu. I'll advice u do same if it is not available in your location. I've processed it online, but i wasn't given any registration/matric number. Not even a password to use and log  into my student portal. And to make matters worse, when i want to revisit the portal to access all my acceptance information, am told to supply my reg/matric number, but i truly do not have any. Someone should pls tell me why, as i do not know if i made a mistake or what!

My friend, I strongly advise dat you go ahead and comply with wat ur colleagues are doing, cos there a whole lot of candidates who scored 260-280 with 'no admission yet', but still they are buying the form. So go ahead and buy it as soon as possible. God bless you as u reciprocate according to my advise, I hope to meet you in the den.

My dear, I advise strongly that you av got poly, plz go ahead and complete the process. Why?
1. Poly graduates are easily. Offered Job in companies, compared to uni graduates
2. While in poly if you so wish to go to Uni, it will be easier for you
3.U might graduate from poly and you will not wish to work for any 1, rather be ur own entrepreneur
4."Poly graduates are inferior". Is a taught of the shallow mind.
5.I av a senior brother, read electrical eng. In IMT, he works for PHCN now
6.If you wish you can further ur education in another field, thus making you versatile
7. Plz hurry and complete ur reg., I wish you best of luck.
