 WHEN A WOMAN IS PASSES THE LEVEL OF "WHOSE DAUGTHER, THE NEXT LEVEL IS WHOSE WIFE" SO SAYS ONE OF THE IGBO PROVERBS. BUT THE PROBLEM TODAY IS THAT THE NUMBER OF SPINSTERS KEEPS INCREASING.
     DESPITE THE FACT THAT SOME OF THEM ARE GOOD LOOKING BUT END UP NOT GETTING MARRIED EVEN AT THE AGE OF 28 GOING TO 32.PLS WHAT DO U THINK ARE THE CAUSES OF THE INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF UNMARRIED GILRS IN OUR SOCIRTY TODAY.
          REMBER THE AFTERMATH THAT SOME DUE TO FRUSTRATION RESOLVED TO FORCING THEMSELVES ON MEN TO MARRY THEM.PLS LETS SOLVE THIS TOGETHER.

I see the problem in two folds:

1. Girls tend to "size-up" guys to see if they have "the world" before they could accept to get married to them. Some even keep a list of unrealistic and fake qualities they look out for in a guy. For instance, the guy must have a V shape and min 6inch tall, drive a new generation car, come from a rich family, etc. I call this looking at things that be not as though they are. After waiting for a long time without getting guys that meet those qualities, they tend start getting frustrated and asking for just any guy to come and marry them. Sadly, by then, they would have grown older and their beauties start fading and even the frustration start causing wrinkles on their once fresh and spotless faces. By this time, guys would start running from them. GIRLS, you people should change ooo and focus on the fundamental qualities and be willing to grow and build a home together with a guy.

2. This is also partly caused by the parents of the girls, especially in Ibo land. The parents expect so much from the guy coming to marry their daughter. They wouldn't give out their daughter if the guy is not working or riding a car or from one so called "well-to-do" family. They don't understand that love is the fundamental thing. This attitude has kept so many girls getting old in their parent's homes. The sad thing is that some of these girls finally get into the hands of wrong guys like 419 guys, etc. PARENTS should change ooo.
