Dear UNNFORUMITES,
Here comes the announcement you've all been waiting for!
Before we go into announcing the award winners, please, permit me to do a recap of what we've accomplished together this year.
UNNFORUM started in May 2008. We give God the glory for the journey so far. It has all been smooth because we overcame the tough times and stood by the principles of the forum. We welcomed all people from all races and different mindsets. We thought people to think differently about Nigeria and to start believing in a Nigeria where the youths can make a positive difference by changing the way they do things for the best.
Forumites, today as I write this, UNNFORUM has received 1,695,799million page views. The amazing thing is that 73% (~1,241,883) of these page views happened this year 2010.
Today, we have 1773 registered members as I write. The unbelievable thing is that 64% (1137) of these new members joined us in 2010.
Do you also know that in 2010, you all have started 702 new topics/threads. This accounts for 48% of all the topics started in this forum.
Now this is the fantastic one: in 2010 alone, we've all posted ~15,417 posts accounting for 70% of all posts on the forum.
Forumites, I must say a big THANK YOU and God bless you all for the great accomplishments. We need to give one another a Hi 5ive! We have accomplished so much together. We have shared knowledge! We have held one another's hands. Some came to this forum with all hopes lost about how to pursue their admissions - they just needed a little information - and we gave them the information they were looking for. Some came here to find genuine friends - and they indeed found new friends.
Our people have longed perish for lack of knowledge but we've set out here to give them the knowledge and information they need. Well done people.
The journey has only began. UNN has over 58,000 students and staff. Our goal in 2011 is to bring 20% of this population to UNNFORUM. The more we are, the merrier it shall be and the more lives we can transform. Yes we can! We can let everyone in our classrooms, departments, faculties, etc know about this forum. We shouldn't only be members when we are seeking admission into the den. We should continue to be active members throughout our stay at the den.

The winner of UNNFORUM's Most Supportive Forumite of the year 2010 award is Chinyxboy(Engr)!Chinyxboy(Engr) joined the forum in April 19, 2009. Though he has posted to only 493, he has remained very committed to the forum with his objective views and contributions.
MOST HUMOROUS FORUMITE OF THE YEAR 2010Emperorfin received 22.2%% of the votes cast to be returned as the first runner up.

...and lastly, I have reserved the unnforum STAR award to someone very special. I didn't know he'll even be nominated for any award and eventually go on to win an award. All the same, I think he deserves the special STAR award for the year 2010. This person has not necessarily made the most post in this forum. However, he joined the same time as most forumites did last year while seeking for admission. Most people that joined with him either do not show up in the forum anymore or show up once in a long while due to pressures from lectures and other school work. Forumites, this person has remained committed to the forum - checking in every now and then despite all the school work. He has been here to provide useful info about UNNFORUM to prospective students. He has introduced the UNNFORUM market place and other great ideas to the forum. He's always ensuring that forumites stand by the principles of the forum.
