Is no longer a rumor that there has been adjustments to courses and its contents. Surprise greeted most people on
during a supposed HUMANITIES 207 class when they were told that its no longer Humanities but Logic, Philosophy and
human existence (1st semester) and Nigerian people and culture(2nd semester).
I also gathered that there is Gs 201, GS 111 etc. this are all in compliance to an NUC directive.
This year, Lions and Lioness  in 1st and 2nd year would be the guinea pigs for this piliot programme, we
would venture into uncharted jungle, if you most know, past questions, insight advise and other
information that be are rendered null and void. Its a challenge, a very big one.
Forumites what do u think, how do we surmount this challenge. We are all involved in this. speak your mind. You might be saving a life!!!

I personally think it's a welcome challenge. The world has changed alot, our environment has changed too, so, I think our course contents and modules should also change to align with technology and other changes around the world. In oversea Universities, the academic board  reviews course contents on a regular basis to align with changes in our environment. Again, I think it's a welcome challenge. What do do other Forumites think?

Its a welcome development in GS. Curriculum changes from time to time to meet societal need of education. The breaking of some courses into two and addition of new ones is not bad from my view, only let them not use it as an avenue to hold people down.

Its welcomed but it calls for more work on the part of both students and staffs. Atleast they have to read for a Peace studies class.

I was on the editorial board of my department`s magazine last year. I know how hard it was to secure adverts. Till date a reputable organization is still owing us. I think the major thing that worked against us was time, and here we dont seem to have plenty of it. I suggest that what ever we have to do should be done fast.
