Actually all universities allow jamb to pick a certain percentage(i think its around 35%) of their admitted students. These students and few other students chosen by the university itself form the first list. Then all students on other lists(2nd list, supplementary etc) are chosen by the school. So 1. Jamb is an integral part of all universities admission process and not just a test setter and giver. 2. The students chosen by jamb are the ones that scored high in their exams and are among the best students in terms of the aggregate score for their various departments(NB: this is just inference). That is why they form the first list 3. The status we are all checking now is not just for UNN. It is for all universities that have approved Jamb's list. For example unilag has released their merit list. If you check one of the reg no. with this jamb website, you will find that he/she has been admitted into unilag to study blah, blah blah. 4. I don't care what you think and i don't care if you are afraid to rejoice, even if its in faith, as for me and myself i don start to dey shop for school. Sit don there!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am more than a frakking conqueror!!!!!!!! I AM A LION(not just a unn lion but the son of the lion of the tribe of Judah)!!!!!!!

The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, has said the 2010 UTME admissions will end in October.

He said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abuja that candidates could now check their admission status online.

“By the time they go to the internet, even today, they will know if they are admitted, so that they can report for documentation after they must have collected their admission letters.

“Some of the big universities have not done their admissions because they have a lot of candidates who applied, like Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; University of Ibadan; University of Benin; University of Lagos; and Lagos State University among others,” he said.

“Big universities have many candidates and they need extra time to process admissions, so this is what is delaying admissions to the institutions,” Ojerinde said.

NAN reports that the first combined Technical Committee Meeting on admissions to tertiary institutions was held from July 13 to July 15 in Kaduna.

The second batch of admissions is to take place from Aug. 10 to Aug.12.

I THINK IF THINGS ARE DONE THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE, IT MEANS WHEN YOU PRINT OUT YOUR ADMISSION LETTER FROM THE JAMB SITE, YOU WILL NOW PROCEED WITH IT THE UNIVERSITY YOU WERE ADMITTED.

ejibond..please i need you help badly..still help me verify this..a friend of mine just call now...saying that the admission offer by Jamb is not true..that s have call almost 4 lecturers in the school and they are saying that jamb can not offer admission that  is the school that offer admission...saying that the site was hack from jamb website...bro am confuse on this...abeg help me out i need good information from you that i will enable me to have rest of mind....because this people won use tension kill me here...i go happy small and get sad small..i don taya for there way broooo..abeg i need ur help...............
