For Interested Medical Students!!

hehehe!! i love anything dat gat 2 do with medicine but d competition tooooo hot so i went 4 medi lab sc...well,i knw med lab is also competitive but nothing dey happen cos i dey equall to d tasks.

Pls i want to know,which aspect of medicine is very difficult? cos some says it's anatomy while others says its pathology..As an experienced and experiencing medic student,what can u say about it?(am not scared oooh!!just curious)

@Ejibond: Med. Lab is a paramedical so is all depart in D Faculty of Health Science. They all work hand in hand with the doctors. Med lab is a bedrock of medicine itself, medical lab scientists are d oracles doctors consult during diagnosis of sum illness. Pls do ur best, ur depart no easy ooo!!!!

For Anatomy which Im studyn rite now, I can say its quite difficult @ 1st but its a very interesting part of medicine esp wen u get 2 study it extensively & then study and dissect the cadavers (dead human body). Bt then its quite challenging, u've got 2 know lots of details in the human body.
For pathology, I cant say anything in that cos Im yet to reach d level of studyn pathology, dat shld be in my next level. It stil has part of Anatomy in it called Morbid Anatomy, plus microbiology and others.
Ejibond as a med lab student, u'll get to study Anatomy in d same class with medical students as Im doing rite now but U wont get to dissect and study the cadavers which is exclusive 4 dose in Medicine and Med. Rehab.
For pathology, dats ur main area of study as u rise to 3rd year which is called HISTOPATHOLOGY-diseases in tissues.


Just focus on ur 1st year work first. Get good grades now b4 worrying abt ANATOMY, BIOCHEMISTRY and PHYSIOLOGY which u'll get 2 study in d same class with medical students throughout ur 2nd year and 1st semester 3rd year. As it goes, when u get 2 dat bridge u'll surely cross it by God's grace. Goodluck man and God's graces in ur exams, dont forget to study hard. Cant wait 2 welcome U in the College of Medicine UNEC.

First thing first eji. In UNN, even if na shoe mending dept you dey, u go hear am weller-the stress is 20 much. Pass the PUTME, then look for relevant 1st year book and at least begin look d pix inside, lol @Dayco, congrats
