UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA
REOPENING FOR 2009/2010 ACADEMIC SESSION
As was announced previously, the old students of the University of Nigeria are to return
to the campuses of the university for the 2009/2010 academic session on Friday, March
19, 2010.
Based however on the need to replace the university property damaged during violent
student demonstration on 16th January, 2010 at the Nsukka campus of the university,
the University Management Committee at its meetings held on 15th and 16th March,
2010 decided as follows:
1. That all students from Enugu and Aba campuses are exempted from
the reparation fee.
2. That the 4th year Engineering students who were officially on Industrial Training
are also exempted from the payment. For avoidance of doubt, the list of the 4th
year students totaling two hundred and ninety three (293) is herewith enclosed.
3. That all other returning undergraduate/postgraduate students at Nsukka campus
of the University should pay a reparation fee of Eight thousand (N8,000.00) Naira
only per student as a requisite for registration for the current academic session.
4. That the 2008/2009 graduating students are to pay their reparation fee as a
requisite for obtaining full clearance leading to collection of statement of result
and/or call up letters for NYSC programme.
5. That the deadline for payment by the returning
undergraduate/postgraduate
students would be before the close of first semester 2009/2010 registration.
