MAKURDI: No fewer than 80,000 Nigerian children are prone to die annually from vitamin A efficiency related ailments if concerted efforts are not made to control and prevent the efficiency amongst growing children in the country.

Country Director of Helen Keller International,HKI,Dr.Omo Ohiokpehai,who said this in Makurdi during an advocacy visit on the Benue state Ministry of Health and Human Services noted that the World Health Organisation,WHO,had identified Nigerian as one of the category of countries with the highest risk of vitamine A deficiency in the world.
