Fierce demonstration have broken out on the streets of the university of Nigeria, Nsukka. A vexed crowd of about 5,000 students took to the streets, with placards and not a few of the school's property were destroyed. The V.C, Barto Okolo has gone into thin air. The demands are simple! It's either he reduces the fees, he goes or heads will roll. The demonstration is unprecedented and the last time this happened, was in 1996. This is the ALUTA SPIRIT and i am part of it!!! I will keep you posted!

In 2001 when i'd jst gained admission,i remembr how afta payin hostel fees N1k,sch fees N3500 and afta both accptance,dptmental and other fees u pay as a new stdt,it was less than N8k.My joy was cut short when Nebo Chinedu came on and like hs Pally Bartho is actin nw,he increased hostel fees to N10k frm N1k,sch fees frm N3500 to N18k.Squashd SUG and sent out spies 2spy thngs out for him.UNN stdts did nothn then.I gues dats why Bartho has d temerity 2increase accptance fee frm 6k to N25k,Convocation fee frm 4k(datz wht I paid in '07) to N40k!HAAA!!!Datz 2much,and I hear d senate body is jst 4 fancy,they kant do anythn.
My fear nw is dat d exams wud b shftd and d studnts wud suffr in d long run.Hop they dnt shut d sch dwn.Imagne!

How on earth will he assume office and start increasing school fees?
Doesn't he know that all hands are not equal, not everybody was born with a silver spoon like him?
He should have a re-think on this, before things get worst.
Anyway the students are right, but they should not take it too far.
